Today I met the Salzburg artist-in-residence for this semester, Merike Van Zanten from the Netherlands, and had a chance to read her proposal for the residency, itself in the form of a book with information about her techniques, her books, and other artwork, and the collections in which her work appears.
Artist Residency at the Jaffe Center for Book Arts, Boca Raton
Today Helen and I went to visit the Salzburg artist-in-residence, Merike van Zanten, in her studio in Building T6, a legacy from the airbase on which FAU was built, which houses the Jaffe’s paper-making studio.
Merike van Zanten is the Helen M. Salzberg Artist in Residence for the 2018/2019 academic year
